Milan Prodanovic
Milan Prodanovic was born in Belgrade in 1990 and graduated from the University of Crete in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in History, Art History and Archaeology, while completing an academic exchange year at the University of Salzburg in Austria. As a postgraduate, he studied Ancient History at the University of Crete, where he defended his MA dissertation entitled “Peloponnesian War and Slavery” in 2021. He has also collaborated in a research project on the human and material losses of the Greek Civil War, conducted by the Economics Department of the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom and the Athens University of Economics in Greece. As a field archaeologist, he has participated in a number of significant archaeological excavations under the auspices of the Archaeological Institute of Belgrade, the leading archaeological institution in Serbia, such as the archaeological project of Viminacium. Since 2023 he is a member of the Serbian Archaeological Society and a doctoral candidate in the field of Ancient History at the University of Crete under the supervision of Associate Professor Kostas Vlassopoulos.
