Microfilming Ottoman archives

Within the context of this project, there have been microfilmed the Ottoman documents from the archives of the monasteries of Simonos Petra, Stavroniketa, Iveron, Vatopedi, Dionysiou, Megiste Lavra, as well as of the Protato on Mount Athos.

Within the context of this project, there have been microfilmed the Ottoman documents from the archives of the monasteries of Simonos Petra, Stavroniketa, Iveron, Vatopedi, Dionysiou, Megiste Lavra, as well as of the Protato on Mount Athos. The Programme of Turkish Studies has also at its disposal copies of microfilms from the judicial archives of Thessaloniki and Veroia.

Researchers who want to study the material listed above should apply to the Programme of Turkish Studies, presenting a written permission from the archives of origin. The Institute of Mediterranean Studies will provide them all needed facilities for their research (microfilm reader - copy machine, computer).
