Bilio Markasioti

Laboratory of Geophysical - Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeo-environment

Bilio Markasioti is a postgraduate student on the field of Geotechnology and Environment in TUC. Bilio completed her major on Geology and Geoenvironmentalism on the topic of ‘Resistivity investigation in a selected site of the Marathon (Plasi) NKUA archaeological excavation area’, at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2020. Her research interests are focused on using Multichannel Analysis Waves-MASW and Seismic Refraction Tomography-SRT to image submerged and buried antiquites in very shallow marine environment. During the five years of her studies she completed a course on Osteoarchaeology. Her experience also includes working for the American School of Classical Studies and for the Ephorate of Palaeoanthropology and Speleology, on the field of Osteoarchaeological Material Management and Geoarchaeology.
