Τhe Programme of Turkish Studies of the Instutite of Mediterranean Studies - Foundation of Research and Technology-Hellas announces its 7th International Symposium. The topic of the symposium will be Political Initiatives "From the Bottom Up" in the Ottoman Empire. The sessions are scheduled for January, 9-11, 2009 and will take place at the Institute of Mediterranean Studies (Melissinou & Nikiforou Foka 130, Rethymno).
