The aim of the project is the study and charting of a little-researched area of Greek poetry of the 19th century, of poetical texts which were presented as a revival of ancient metres. With the research of independently published books, and perhaps subsequently journals of the period from 1821 to the end of the 19th century, all poems which could be considered as belonging to the category of the revival of ancient metres will be located, recorded in an electronic database, and digitalised in an electronic archive.

Description and aims of the project

The aim of the project is the study and charting of a little-researched area of Greek poetry of the 19th century, of poetical texts which were presented as a revival of ancient metres.
