Grigoris Voskakis

Grigoris Voskakis is a PhD candidate in film history at the department of Philology, University of Crete, working on a PhD thesis on the depiction of education in Greek cinema. He holds a diploma in Greek Philology (Dept of Philology, University of Crete) and an MA from the graduate program  Culture and Human Development (Dept of  Philosophy and Social Sciences, University of Crete). He has a long experience as an instructor and head in secondary education schools, and is President of the Union of Philologists of Heraklion Prefecture. He has organized and participated in academic conferences and his publications concern education and cinema. In 2022 he received a Reward Scholarship from the Institute for Mediterranean Studies, FORTH.
