Alexandros Tourtas
Postdoctoral researcher
Laboratory of Geophysical - Satellite Remote Sensing and Archaeo-environment Alexandros Tourtas is a postdoc researcher at FORTH-IMS and the University of Aegean and teaches subjects of Maritime Archaeology as adjunct faculty in the Department of History, Archaeology & Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly. He has taken part in various land and maritime archaeological projects, specializing in the implementation of advanced technologies in the archaeological process and the management of sites. He is also an experienced diver, with high standard qualifications (TMX, CCR, OWSI) and holds a Scientific Diver Certification from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (AAUS).
