"Seafaring Lives bound for homeport" Conference

On 9 to 11 June 2022 will take place at the premises of the IMS/FORTH, in Rethymno, the Final Conference of the ERC STG 2016 project Seafaring Lives in Transition. Mediterranean Maritime Labour and Shipping during Globalization, 1850s-1920s (SeaLiT).

The Conference will host papers not only of the members of the project SeaLiT, but also of international scholars to topics of maritime history related to the project.

The keynote lecture Speaker will be Emeritus Professor Sarah Palmer (University of Greenwich) entitled:  "Populace and Transients: Maritime Communities in the Nineteenth-Century Port of London".
